STONE TERMS 1

Flagstone : Sedimentary stone with wide variety of colors, surface textures and properties.
Available in various thicknesses from roughly 1" to 5" and piece sizes from 1 sq. ft up to 15 sq. ft.
Select Flagstone -Specially selected for color, size (usually very large pieces) or thickness, palletized on edge.
Stand Up Flagstone - Selected for color, size (usually large pieces) or thickness, palletized on edge.
Patio Flagstone - Selected for color, size (usually medium to small pieces) or thickness, palletized flat.
Bluestone : A particularly durable and consistent sedimentary flagstone quarried in Pennsylvania and Connecticut
Ledgestone
: Sedimentary stone in strip-shaped, relatively flat pieces, particularly suitable for stacking.
Wall Rock : Chunky, angular pieces of rock often made by crushing larger pieces and used to build rock walls etc.
Field Stone : Large stones and boulders as gathered from fields, often with an aged or weathered appearance.
Cobble Stone : Round or squared stones of fairly regular sizing often used for paving
River Rock : Stones shaped by water over time. Usually oval or round with smooth surfaces and few sharp edges.
Slabs : Large, Flat pieces of stone, usually with irregular outlines.
Boulders : Exceptionally large field stones.
